The Canine Good Citizenship Class builds on the skills and commands that you learned in the basic obedience class. You and your dog train for a series of 10 tests on basic commands and tasks, such as walking on leash, properly accepting a person for the first time, and obeying commands despite distractions.

This class was developed by the American Kennel Club.
Dogs and owners that pass all 10 tests receive a certificate issued through the American Kennel Club. The certificate states that your dog is a canine good citizen. As part of this program you can also train toward a dog therapy certification and then visit hospitals, nursing homes, etc..

These on-going classes are held each Thursday night at 6:30pm. Start any week.
